Prompted by Nevada’s recent legalization of recreational marijuana use, Caesars Entertainment Corp. has announced that it will no longer screen job applicants for marijuana use as a condition of employment. Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Affairs Rich Broome said that some driver jobs still would require pre-employment screening for marijuana. The company said that there is a need for good employers and lifting marijuana screening will help them fill open positions. Although many employers have stopped testing for pot, they will continue to screen for cocaine, opiates, heroin and other drugs.
