Stephanie Dorisca, former director of Techni-Pro Institute in Boca Raton, was convicted of conspiring to sell about 1,000 fake nursing diplomas for millions of dollars as part of Operation Nightingale. The scheme recruited students from Texas, allowing many to pass licensure exams and work as nurses without proper training. Dorisca faces up to 20 years in prison, with sentencing set for March. The broader operation involved over 40 people and 15,000 fraudulent diplomas nationwide.
